I have to admit, I spend far too much time scrolling through Amazon looking at all the weird and wonderful gadgets that are supposed to make your life easier. Obviously not all of them do, but sometimes you come across something that makes you wonder how you went about your life before you had it. Beauty tools are my ultimate weakness, so naturally I thought I should write an article showcasing my top Amazon beauty buys.
Without further ado, here are the 15 game-changing tools that I think every makeup and skincare enthusiast should own.
1. Eyebrow/Dermaplaning Razors
This is one of those beauty tools that everyone should own. Looking back, it’s kind of insane that I never used to dermaplane my face because now I can’t go without it.
Honestly, your makeup will apply so much better and the texture of your skin will look way smoother. If you’re looking for that flawless, glass-skin finish, this is a must-have.
2. Eyelash Comb
This tool came to my attention only recently and, after trying it out, I can see why many people swear by it. In the past, if my mascara ever looked a little clumpy I’d just use a spoolie brush to fix it. And tbh a lot of the time it just ended up looking worse.
This eyelash comb is so easy to use and really makes sure that your lashes are separated. Say goodbye to spider lashes for good with this handy little implement!
3. Silk Pillowcases
You might be thinking ‘what difference can a pillowcase make?’, and I’m here to tell you that once you try a silk pillowcase you’ll never want to go back to your old cotton ones. It feels like the height of luxury, and the best part is it doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg. This Alaska Bear one is super affordable!
Silk is great for your skin and hair, and just feels amazing to sleep on. I cannot recommend it enough!

4. Hairbrush Cleaner
When was the last time you cleaned your hairbrush? I don’t mean just pulling the hair off, but properly giving it a scrub? Well, according to haircare specialists, we should be washing our brushes at least every 1-2 weeks.
To prevent oil and bacteria building up, we need to make sure that we’re deep cleaning our hairbrushes the right way. If not, any leftover grime or residue from our haircare products will be transferred onto our clean locks whenever we brush them.
A kit, like this one, will do just the job. It comes with a little rake to grab all of the hair, and a nylon soft brush to remove any dust or dirt on the base.
5. Tube Squeezer
It’s the worst when you reach the end of a product, and you know there’s just a tiny bit more in there, but you just can seem to get it out. I hate wasting stuff so having one of these tube squeezers on hand is a must for me.
What I love about these is that they stand up by themselves so it makes it really easy to store them away.
6. Eyelash Applicator Tweezer
I’m terrible at applying false lashes by hand so I love having beauty tools that make it easier. Tweezers are ok, but the thought of putting something sharp next to my eye makes me cringe.
That’s why a specialised lash applicator is so amazing. It makes it 10x easier to put your lashes on and you don’t have to worry about accidentally poking yourself.
7. Microfibre Wristbands
Hands up if you’re tired of water streaming down your arms when you’re washing your face 🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️.
I recently saw a TikTok, by mckenzieraley, where she bought a bunch of sweatbands just to solve this exact problem. The band soaks up the water before it even has the opportunity to pass your wrist. Ingenious.
After a bit of searching, it turns out that they make spa washbands that are specially designed for this. Guess what’s going on my wishlist …
8. Rose Quartz Facial Roller
I’m not going to lie, before buying one of these, I did think that face rollers were overhyped. But after trying it out, my mind has been completely changed.
Massaging the skin is known to improve circulation and help relax your muscles. I always loved the idea of this, and I’d seen so many people extolling its virtues. However, I wasn’t too keen on rubbing my hands all over my face. I felt sure that this would cause me to break out.
A face roller completely solves this issue! It massages your facial oils and serums into your skin for you.
9. Silk Hair Scrunchies
If you’ve already tried and fallen in love with silk pillowcases, let me introduce you to another beauty tool you’re going to adore: silk scrunchies.
These are perfect for both sleeping in and wearing throughout the day. Because they are made of silk, they don’t cause breakage like regular elastic bands do. Love, love, love!
10. Konjac Sponge Set
We can’t talk about beauty tools without mentioning some kind of facial cleansing system. Many people think you need an expensive gadget to get unblocked pores and fresh skin, but actually there’s a much more affordable option.
Konjac sponges are great because not only are they low-cost, they’re super effective too. I love them because they’re really gentle on the skin and they’re made out of 100% plant fibre. They’re also biodegradable and pH balanced – I can’t think of a single con!
11. No Crease Hair Clips
This happens to all of us at one point or another. We clip our hair back to do our makeup, only to realise that we’ve creased it in the process.
If you don’t fancy redoing your perfectly blowdried hair, these clips are here to save you. Now you can sweep your hair out of your face without worrying about the consequences!
12. Heated Rollers
If, like me, you spend far too much time on TikTok, you must have seen these on your FYP. These are the key to luscious, bouncy hair so don’t be afraid to try them out – even if you look a bit crazy wearing them!
I like that they’re a little safer to use than a traditional curling iron. I’m quite clumsy so any way I can avoid unnecessary burns is a win in my book.
13. Gel Lamp
I got a gel nail lamp last year and it has completely changed the game. I don’t mind regular nail polish, but I always used to smudge it while I was waiting for it to dry. Since curing gel nails dries them instantly, I no longer have this issue.
Mylee is a tried and trusted brand so their UV lamp was my top choice. However, there are lots of other gel lamps on Amazon that look equally as good – I’d just make sure to check the reviews before buying.

14. Tool Sterilizer
If you’re big into beauty, you probably have so many metal tools – tweezers, scissors, clippers – lying around. You might give them a rinse every now and again, or even wipe them down with some rubbing alcohol. But really they need to be properly sterilized.
Luckily, this little gadget will do it for you. It heats up 150°C meaning that it kills more than 99.9% of bacteria and viruses.
You can never be too clean or careful … especially with COVID going around.
15. Mini Spatulas
I have so many moisturisers, creams and cleansing balms that are in pots and jars. Getting anything out of them is such a pain.
These mini spoons are brilliant because, first of all, they stop you from getting product all over your hands and, secondly, they’re much more hygienic than sticking your fingers in.
