A little stop motion fun with some @caudalie minis A little stop motion fun with some @caudalie minis I meant to post this last year but couldn’t bring myself to edit it after I shot it 😂 This travel set definitely has spring vibes so now felt like the perfect time to post! 🌷🌸💜
#ad | Gifted products A few glimpses of the sun a #ad | Gifted products A few glimpses of the sun and I’m already in full spring/summer mode ☀️So when @balibody sent me a couple of bits to try, the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. Their Clear Self Tan Gel is a lightweight, leave-on formula designed to be completely mess-free. It sinks into the skin quickly and doesn’t stain clothes or bed sheets - always a win. I love how easy this is to apply, despite the lack of guide colour. It feels more like skincare than self tan - like you’re rubbing a hydrating serum into the skin. The only drawback for me is the undertone. It pulls slightly orange on my skin, though I have seen it look much more natural on others. I think it’s a case of experimenting with the developing time to find that sweet spot! I haven’t been testing their Gradual Tanning Butter for as long, but I’m enjoying it so far. It gives a natural, healthy glow which makes my pale skin look a bit more alive! The only thing to note is the shimmer, which does seem to get everywhere. Not a huge deal but I probably would avoid wearing white clothes with this as it does transfer! Have you tried either of these? #ad | Gifted Introducing the three newest @pixibe #ad | Gifted Introducing the three newest @pixibeauty On-the-Glow Blush shades: Chantilly, Mauve, and Cassis 😍 With its balmy texture, this blush is both buildable blendable. It’s perfect for light makeup days when you just want to add a healthy hint of colour to your cheeks. Cassis (the plum shade) is probably my most used of the three. This one has the greatest colour payoff, so it takes very little effort to apply. Mauve is the perfect rosy flush, it’s super soft and subtle. Chantilly is a little more peachy but a bit too similar to my skin tone to show up in full effect. It works well in combination with the other two shades though! Have you tried this blush? #ad | Gifted I tried all three new @pixibeauty pe #ad | Gifted I tried all three new @pixibeauty perfumes and have really enjoyed adding them into my fragrance rotation. These are travel-sized, and perfect for quick top-ups on the go - the twist-up packaging is chef’s kiss 👩‍🍳. 🌿 PixiFig – citrusy bergamot with earthy fig leaves. I wanted to step out of my comfort zone with this one, but it was a bit too deep and woody for me personally. Definitely one for the fig scent enthusiasts! ☀️ PixiMimosa – bright, fresh, and floral with ylang ylang, pear, mimosa and violet petals. I almost get a hint of almond from it, though it’s not in the ingredients list! This is warm and uplifting, an ideal summer scent. 🌸 PixiRose – the most classic floral of the three. Rose, sweet lemon, lily, and jasmine make this feel fresh, clean and feminine. It did feel a little mature at first, but the more I wear it, the more I like it. 17’s Melting Cream Blush in Coffee Love is touted 17’s Melting Cream Blush in Coffee Love is touted as a dupe for Rhode’s Toasted Teddy, but just how similar are they? 🧸🤎 I spoke about the @17_cosmeticsuk blush a little while ago but, when I finally got the @rhode Pocket Blush, I completely forgot to post a comparison here! You can tell by the swatches that these shades aren’t worlds apart. They do blend out slightly differently, though. The 17 blush leans orange, while the Rhode blush shows up more red. You can see better comparison pics up on my blog 👩‍💻 Pigmentation-wise, the Rhode blush is the sheerer of the two, but not by much! The 17 blush has that classic cream blush texture - soft and buttery. The Pocket Blush formula, in comparison, is dewier and balmier. Both are really easy to blend out and last for a similar amount of time, so it’s a tie there! I don’t think these cream blushes are indistinguishable from each other, but they are pretty similar. Honestly, I love and use both so I think they’re both worth buying. At £4, the 17 blush is obviously a lot cheaper so if you are looking for a more affordable swap for the Rhode Pocket Blush, I really recommend giving it a go!

It’s so easy to feel like you need every new release (especially if you’re creating beauty content here on Insta). But there’s also so much joy in carefully curating your collection, and only shopping for products (or accepting PR) you know you’ll love and use.
