PR | The product featured in this review was kindly sent to me by Stylevana. All thoughts and opinions, however, are completely my own.
The COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence is one of my holy grail skincare products. So the Advanced Snail 92 All In One Cream was inevitably going to be next on my list of things to try! I’d heard a lot of good things about this cream and, if the essence was anything to go by, I had a feeling this would become one of my skincare faves.
Stylevana reached out to see if I wanted to test this product and of course I jumped at the opportunity.
So, did it meet my expectations? Keep reading to find out…
What is it?
The COSRX Advanced Snail 92 All In One Cream is a lightweight cream that contains 92% snail secretion filtrate. The claims are that it reduces signs of ageing, soothes irritated skin and replenishes moisture.
What are the standout ingredients?
Snail secretion filtrate – The mucus produced by snails as they move. It aids wound healing and skin regeneration.
Betaine – An amino acid that helps prevent water loss from the skin.
Cetearyl olivate – An emulsifier that also has skin-soothing and regenerative properties.
Sodium hyaluronate – The salt form of hyaluronic acid. It helps water permeate into the skin and helps smooth out fine lines.
Arginine – An amino acid that protects the skin from free radicals and improves collagen deposition.
Panthenol – A provitamin of vitamin B5. It boosts hydration, attracts moisture and soothes irritated skin.
Allantoin – A plant-derived ingredient that soothes and softens the skin.
Adenosine – A yeast-derived ingredient that has anti-ageing and skin plumping properties.

COSRX Advanced Snail 92 All In One Cream Ingredients
Snail Secretion Filtrate, Betaine, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Arginine, Dimethicone, Carbomer, Panthenol, Allantoin, Sodium Polyacrylate, Xanthan Gum, Ethyl Hexanediol, Adenosine, Phenoxyethanol
How should you use this product?
After cleansing and applying toner/essence, take a small amount of the cream and dot it around your face. Massage into the skin and wait for it to dry a little (5 minutes or so) before going in with sunscreen and makeup.
The scent
This cream smells fresh but I can’t discern a particular scent. It doesn’t contain any added fragrance so it should be safe for sensitive skin types.
The texture
The texture of this cream is so unique, I don’t think I’ve ever experienced anything like it before. In all honesty, it doesn’t feel much like a cream, it’s got more of a gel consistency.
It’s very viscous – to the point of being quite gooey – which takes a while to get used to. However, it applies pretty nicely and it doesn’t stay sticky on the face. After it dries down it has a velvety, matte finish which I think suits combination-oily skin quite well.
The packaging
The packaging, like the rest of their snail mucin line, follows a yellow and black colour scheme. The type of container is rather unexpected though. Instead of a bottle with a pump dispenser, this comes in a frosted plastic tub with a black metal lid. This means that accessing and applying the product can be a little messy – especially when the cream is so sticky.
Apparently this product used to come with a spatula but I don’t think it does anymore!

Notes on sustainability
Ethical: All COSRX products are cruelty-free. This cream obviously isn’t vegan as it contains snail mucin, however, COSRX assures customers that this ingredient is collected in a non-forceful way. The snails are allowed to roam freely over a mesh net which collects the mucin they leave behind.
Environmental: The pot, lid and cardboard packaging of this product are all recyclable.
Overall thoughts
I actually quite enjoyed using this cream – even though it was stickier than I expected. I like that it’s unscented and that it’s not too heavy on the skin. I also think the ingredients list is incredible. The fact that it contains panthenol, betaine, allantoin AND arginine means that irritated skin will love this!
I do find, however, that the tackiness of this cream makes it difficult to apply products over the top. I tend to use this only as a nighttime moisturiser because it’s a little too sticky to wear during the day.
That’s not to say it never dries! The stickiness does disappear after a while, leaving a soft velvety finish in its place. But on days when you’re in a rush, this can be slightly impractical. For me it takes a bit too long to dry down and lose the tackiness, so I usually reach for other moisturisers in the morning.
I also think if you have REALLY dry skin you’d probably have to supplement this with another moisturiser. It’s great for providing an instant boost on hydration, but it’s not super effective at retaining moisture. In the winter I tend to use this as an extra layer before I moisturise and this works really well. In fact, doing it this way means that my skin feels SUPER hydrated in the colder months.
In the summer, I’ll probably go back to using this by itself as a moisturiser – I think it’s perfect for really hot days when you need something light.

Ich benutze die Creme und die Essence auch, für die Nacht trage ich meistens hinterher noch eine Nachtcreme auf. Morgens nehme ich die Essence wie ein Serum und anschließend Sonnenschutz von Missha oder einen Primer.
