I first fell in love with Pixi Beauty when I was introduced to their cult Glow Tonic – a product that most skincare enthusiasts have probably had in their collection at one time or another.
Over the years, I’d experimented with a handful of Pixi’s other skincare products, but I still felt like I’d only scratched the surface of what the brand has to offer.
That’s why I was so excited when the Pixi team reached out and invited me to try a couple of items from the Pixi + Hello Kitty line.
I chose the three that caught my eye the most: the Pixi + Hello Kitty Hello Glow-y Powder, the Pixi + Hello Kitty Hydrating Milky Mist and the Pixi + Hello Kitty AnyWhere Patches.
Here’s how I got on with them…
Who is Pixi Beauty?
Pixi is a British beauty brand founded in 1999 by professional makeup artist Petra Strand. It was born out of Petra’s desire to create effective, results-producing products that are as kind to the planet as they are to the skin.
The brand focuses on blending actives with nourishing plant-based ingredients, formulating products that are not only skin-transforming but also completely vegan and cruelty-free.
Pixi’s bread and butter is makeup and skincare, but they do also have a line of fruity, floral fragrances that are worth checking out too.
About the Pixi + Hello Kitty Collection
In 2022, Pixi teamed up with Hello Kitty to create a line of makeup and skincare products bearing the iconic Sanrio character.
This was originally marketed as a limited-edition collection, but the products must have been so popular that the brand has continued to sell them!
The Pixi + Hello Kitty Collection consists of three existing skincare products – the Makeup Fixing Mist, the Hydrating Milky Mist and the fan-favourite Glow Tonic – rebranded with super cute Hello Kitty packaging. Plus a number of exclusive Hello Kitty products, like the AnyWhere and Chrome Glow palettes.

Pixi + Hello Kitty AnyWhere Patches
Pixi is well-known for their eye patches, and for good reason, they’re something that the brand does really well.
The Pixi + Hello Kitty AnyWhere Patches are a step up from the existing eye patch selection, though, as these are designed to be placed all over the face. Think of it as a hydrogel face mask which has already been snipped up into small segments.
Instead of the usual 60 patches, you get 90 in this set. This essentially amounts to 30 pairs of eye patches, and then an extra 30 oval patches you can apply on your forehead, smile lines or even on the neck.
key ingredients
Niacinamide – Strengthens the skin barrier and helps fade dark spots
Shea Butter – Intensely moisturises the skin and relieves irritation
Retinol – Improves the appearance of fine lines
my experience
I haven’t come across an eye patch that I didn’t like, so it probably wasn’t that difficult for these to impress me!
That said, there are lots of things about the Pixi + Hello Kitty AnyWhere Patches that set them apart from other masks on the market.
The primary benefit being that these are fragrance-free eye patches, so they’re ideal for sensitive skin types.
You can guarantee that there will be no stinging or eye-watering because these are just so gentle on the delicate under-eye area.
I also like that these aren’t super slippery so they stay in place pretty well. Plus, you don’t end up with excess product that pills off your face – this makes them so good for morning use before you apply makeup.
Price-wise, these are totally worth the spend. The fact that you get 90 patches means that it works out to be less than 25p per patch, which is incredible value for money.
Pixi + Hello Kitty Hello Glow-y Powder
You wouldn’t know it from this blog post, but Pixi’s Hello Kitty makeup offering is actually larger than their skincare selection. I obviously must have felt the pull of skincare shopping when I picked my products!
I did pick up one makeup product, though, in the form of the Hello Glow-y Powder!
This is a 2-in-1 blush and highlighter. It’s meant to add a natural glow to the face while also imparting a sheer flush of colour. It comes in two different shades; SweetGlow (a pearly, soft pink) and FriendlyBlush (a deeper, more copper-toned pink).
key ingredients
Vitamin E – Locks in hydration
Apple Seed Oil – Has anti-inflammatory and moisturising properties
Ceramide NP – Nourishes the skin and protects the moisture barrier
my experience
I’m not much of a highlighter person so I was really pushing myself out of my comfort zone by choosing this!
I went for the shade SweetGlow, as I felt this would look the most subtle on my skin tone, and I was surprised by just how often I found myself picking it up to apply it. Highlighter is usually an evening / special occasion thing for me, but this looks natural enough for me to wear it during the day too.
I really like how finely milled this powder is, and how naturally the shimmer disperses. You don’t get that frosty, strobed effect that was characteristic of the 2010s – this is much less intense.
As a highlighter, I’m fully on board. As a blush, though, the pigment is lacking a little. The pink tone doesn’t really pull through unless the light catches it at a certain angle.
I’m sure the deeper shade FriendlyBlush would show up more so, if you’re looking for a noticeable flush, I’d go for that one instead.
Pixi + Hello Kitty Hydrating Milky Mist
This product differs from the other two in that it already existed before the Pixi + Hello Kitty collaboration. You can buy the Hydrating Milky Mist without the cute Hello Kitty packaging, but – once you’ve seen this version – why would you want to?!
The purpose of the Hydrating Milky Mist is to add a little extra hydration to the skin when it needs it. This might be just after you’ve cleansed your face (almost like a toner) or after you’ve finished applying your makeup (like a setting spray).
key ingredients
Hyaluronic Acid – Draws moisture into the skin
Black Oat Extract – Soothes irritation and prevents dryness
B Vitamin Complex – Hydrates the skin and reduces inflammation
my experience
I do love a face mist, but it’s hard to find one that ticks all boxes. Ideally you want it to be lightweight (but still ultra hydrating) with a nozzle that produces a fine mist. The reality is that you usually end up drenched by a spray that leaves your face feeling oily or sticky.
That’s not the case with the Pixi + Hello Kitty Hydrating Milky Mist though. This might be the finest mist I have ever experienced.
I like how delicately it applies – it means it doesn’t disturb your makeup if you decide to use it as a finishing spray. It also doesn’t leave your face too wet and shiny.
The fuss-free nature of this mist means you can apply it at any point during the day. You get all the benefits of a hydrating, milky toner just without the faff of getting your hands messy, or having to touch your face with dirty hands. It’s a really great product to stick in your handbag for this reason!
This Hydrating Milky Mist provides just the right amount of glow, which makes it a great choice for all skin types.
Dry skin will appreciate how hydrating this is – it immediately alleviates that tight, uncomfortable feeling you get after cleansing. Oily skin types will also love how this adds a soft, dewy (but most importantly, non-greasy) touch to any makeup look.

Final thoughts
I’ve enjoyed using all three of these products, but the AnyWhere Patches and the Hydrating Milky Mist were the standouts for me.
I love how hydrating these and how gentle they are on the skin. The provide my skin with a much needed moisture boost without triggering any congestion or breakouts – super important if your skin is combo / oily and acne-prone.
Where to buy these products
You can buy these products directly from the Pixi Beauty website. Alternatively, you can order them from beauty retailers like Sephora and Boots.
