I managed to get through quite a few beauty products in May, so let’s speed through these reviews!

@skinproud Secure the Barrier Skin Barrier Booster Serum* - I love this, and I often reach for it when my skin needs a bit of TLC. Just a shame that you can no longer get it!

@gisou Lip Oil 🤷‍♀️- Love the formula but not too keen on the scent - I know they have since changed this though! My main gripe with this is that it leaks everywhere if you don’t keep it upright 😫

@officialmedik8 Crystal Retinal 3 🫶 - An absolute game changer. This is so gentle - you don’t get any purging or irritation. I started seeing results so quickly too.

@lorealparis True Match Tinted Serum 🫶 - My everyday go-to. I love that this is light but still has pretty good coverage.

@skin1004official Madagascar Centella Cream 🫶 - Another daily staple. I use this morning and night, and it’s perfect for my combo skin - moisturising but not too heavy.

@larocheposay Cicaplast Barrier Repairing Hand Cream 🫶 - This is a holy grail for me. It repairs dry, cracked hands in no time at all. I think this is the first time I’ve featured it but I do get through at least one of these a month 😆

@dr.ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence 🫶 - Really great for dry, irritated skin. This is one of those products that feels immediately calming.

@skin1004official Tea-Attica Purifying Toner 🤷‍♀️ - Surprisingly gentle for a tea tree toner. Nice but I have other toners I prefer more!

@aromatherapyassociates Shower Oil 🫶 - Super moisturising and smells like a spa, what more could you want?

@vegamour GRO Scalp Serum* 👋 - Not sure what happened with this but the applicator fell off and got stuck in the lid. I probably wouldn’t repurchase this purely because of the packaging 🥲

Let’s talk about the Maybelline Super Stay Skin

Let’s talk about the Maybelline Super Stay Skin Tint 🌸

I really thought I was going to love this product, but unfortunately it just didn’t do it for me! (Peep how well-used the L’Oreal one is in comparison 👀)

This is pretty full coverage - more so than actual foundations I own. So while it’s great for covering redness, it doesn’t really provide that natural finish you’d expect from a skin tint.

It also contains pearl pigments which give a sort of metallic sheen to the skin. I don’t hate this but it does mean that it highlights any bumps and texture. The formula tends to cling to dry patches anyway, so it’s just not the best product for barrier-damaged or dehydrated skin.

I do think it would work for other skin types, it just wasn’t suited to mine!

Wild deodorant has been coming in clutch in this weather 🥵☀️

As a roll-on girlie, switching to natural, reusable deodorants wasn’t a huge shock to the system - I can imagine it takes a bit of getting used to if you’re an aerosol person!

This applies without too much tugging and it holds up throughout the day.

The only downside is that the case can be a little bulky if you want to take it out and about… but that’s what the minis are for I guess!

Wild has a huge scent selection, and I love that I can switch it up whenever I want - Ocean Mist is my spring/summer pick 🌊

@espaskincare Tri-Active Calming Cica Cleansing Balm* 🫶 - I don’t normally love skincare packed with essential oils but I feel like it just works in cleansing balms! This one smells amazing and breaks down makeup super quickly. Very sad that I’m all out!

@dr.altheaglobal 345NA Intensive Repair Cream*🫶 - This cream definitely grew on me. It’s lightweight but still very moisturising, and it does wonders for an irritated skin barrier. I believe they’ve reformulated this so the new version isn’t fragranced (if that’s a dealbreaker).

@elemis_uki Soothing Apricot Toner 👋 - On the whole, this is a nice toner. It’s soothing, lightly scented and pretty gentle. However, it’s not as hydrating as I’d like and I definitely have toners that are more effective. I would use it again but probably wouldn’t go out of my way to buy it. I also do have the full-size version of this that I’m still working through 😆

@augustinusbader The Cream 👋 - Like the Elemis toner, this cream is pleasant to use but it doesn’t wow me. It sits well under makeup and feels nice on the skin. I do like it, but I just can’t justify buying it given how expensive it is!

Do you feel like eye creams are necessary in your skincare routine? 👀

I think I end up using them because I feel like I should, rather than because I see a difference!

For me, they’re sort of like an extra moisturiser. I’m yet to come across something that actually tackles my dark circles 💪

Are there any eye creams that have given you the results you want?
